Sewing for a Future

Sewing can make a difference in people's lives.  In this hands-on workshop, learn the basic parts of a sewing machine, how the machine operates, and how to sew stitches to contribute to a final project that will be sent to Mzuzu, Malawi so girls can continue going to school every day of the month.

Dawn Klotzko - founder of Cabin Creek Stitchery.  Dawn learned to quilt in 2000 when her mother bought her a sewing machine so they could attend evening quilting classes together.  Her passion is to make a difference in people's lives through her work as a quilter and artist. She designs and creates one-of-a-kind quilts by incorporating sentimental fabrics into each project.
